Grade-Ruan Church of England
Primary School

Grade Ruan School

The  School was originally built by the church, over 150 years ago.
The school is located in the picturesque village of Ruan Minor,
a mile away from Cadgwith Cove and the Cornish coast.

The school currently has four classes all named after creatures from the sea:

 Orcas Class - Years 5 & 6
Turtle Class - Year 3 & 4
Seahorses Class - Years 1 & 2
Starfish Class - Year R

Since September 2011 the school has entered into a partnership with three other local schools - Coverack, St Keverne and Manaccan.  Working collaboratively together means that the Governors of Grade-Ruan are able to secure our school's future during the current uncertainty for funding for small schools.  It also offers our children wider opportunities with regards to sport, music, schools visits and much more.  The new partnership has had a very positive impact on our school.  Mr Harman shares his time across the four schools and his designated day at Grade-Ruan is on a Wednesday.
